Hazelnut Crescent Christmas Cookies
I’ve been collecting Christmas Cookie recipes from the home cooks who share their recipes by way of Squidoo.com and starting today, until Christmas, I’ll be featuring my favorites right here at the Cabaret Squidoo Best Recipes Arcade in the new Christmas Cookies section.
Today’s Christmas Cookies are my own family favorite recipe for Hazelnut Crescents. The recipe has been in my family for decades and when I was a child I thought my mother was making cookies out of acorns. As an adult, I’ve enjoyed making these cookies with my own children.
These happen to be one of my all-time favorite Christmas cookies to bake and to eat.
The light taste and powdered sugar topping of these Hazelnut Cresecents makes for a great dessert to serve with coffee, hot chocolate, or a cold glass of milk.
Santa has been enjoying these Hazelnut Crescent Cookies at my house for many years and now he can grab a few of these delicious Christmas Cookies while visiting your house as well.
And speaking of serving cookies to Santa, you might want to take a look at the terrific Cookie serving platter I found over at Christmas Central.
This Holiday Cookie Platter and Recipe Holder is from the ”Ginger In The Kitchen” collection, designed by Bonnie Lynn exclusively for Russ Berrie Inc, Included is an oval-shaped ceramic platter, decorated with little gingerbread men cut-outs. The inscription in the center of the plate reads: “The food upon this plate made with loving care, is a reminder of the warmth friends and family share. So enjoy this gift of love, pass along for others to share, and when the food is gone, the love will always be there.” Also included is a ceramic gingerbread man recipe holder and recipe card. The Christmas cookie plate measures approximately: 15 1/4″ x 9 1/8″.
Makes a great kitchen gift idea for your favorite cookie baker too!
