Cooking Fresh Pumpkin

October 12th, 2008 · No Comments

This year instead of just carving those fresh pumpkins you picked up at the pumpkin patch, why not think about using them in your favorite pumpkin recipes?  Cooking fresh pumpkin is easy as pie, {smile} and tastes so much better than that canned gush you’ve used in the past.

To get you started on this new old-fashioned way of cooking with pumpkin take a look at my How to Cook Fresh Pumpkin lens where you’ll learn how easy it really is to cook your own pumpkin.

Once you’ve mastered this simple cooking technique visit How to Make a Pumpkin Pie from a Real Pumpkin for an awesome recipe for, you guessed it, Homemade Pumpkin Pie!

Your holidays will never taste the same!

I’ve found the perfect pie plate for cooking and storing your pumpkin pies.  Take a look!  Thanksgiving Pumpkin Shape Pie Plate/Dish With Cover Great For Baking Pies And Storing

P.S.  If after all of that you still insist on only carving your fresh pumpkins into Jack O’lanterns take a look at my Pumpkin Carving 101 lens for some neat ideas for making and using stencils and  tips for fixing up any carving boo-boos you might make!
