American as “Mock” Apple Pie?  I have to admit that this sounded a bit odd to me at first.  I’ve heard of Mock Apple Pie before but never thought I’d want to taste it until I found this great lens at Squidoo.

Mock Apple Pie  contains a wonderfully easy to follow recipe along with  step by step photos that demonstrate how really easy this pie is to construct.  But the recipe fun doesn’t stop there, you’ll also find video instruction to help you make the perfect flaky pie crust and an entire section about Cream of Tartar and it’s uses.  Cream of tartar is a major ingredient in this pie and contributes to the “appley” flavor. 

Does this pie really taste like Apple pie?  You’ll just have to make one of your own to find out.
